Every candle on your chart starts counting from the moment the session opens, not from midnight. That single fact explains most of the confusion about candle timings, and it is what the candle timer aligns to.

NSE also runs a pre-open call auction from 09:00 to 09:08 and a closing session after 15:40; neither produces continuous candles, so the timer ignores them. Commodity closing time moves with US daylight saving, and exchanges change hours for special sessions such as Muhurat trading. Treat this table as a convenience, not an authority — the exchange and your broker are authoritative.
Anchored to the 09:15 open, ten-minute candles fall on 09:15, 09:25, 09:35 … 10:15, 10:25, 10:35. Anchored to midnight they would fall on 10:20 and 10:30, which is what a generic clock app shows and why it disagrees with your chart.

The last candle of the day is cut short wherever the interval does not divide the 375-minute session exactly — on a 1-hour chart the 15:15 candle lasts only fifteen minutes.
On MCX the same intervals hang off 09:00, so 10-minute candles open at 09:00, 09:10, 09:20 and the grid looks like a midnight-aligned one. Crypto exchanges anchor to 00:00 UTC, which is 05:30 IST, so a 4-hour crypto candle opens at 05:30, 09:30, 13:30 IST — not at 08:00 or 12:00.
Trading holidays are published by each exchange every year and are not built into this site: on a holiday the timer will still count down to an open that does not happen. Check the official NSE or MCX holiday calendar before relying on it.
